Document Summary

Allows formative/summative evaluation of intervention and adaptations to instruction. Formative eval: one sample at a time. Done along the way; keep assessing until we know it has been mastered. Done as one time measure that goes across a huge amount of info. Prereferral intervention (t1/t2) required by law to ensure sufficient teaching when issues arise. Observation periods needs to be same length or makes sure student of interest has same opportunities to respond. Ex: blurting out an answer, swearing, how many times they ask to go to the bathroom. Rate: length in time does not matter. Write down the start and end time then divide # of responses by total time period. Ex: how many math facts you can do in certain amount of time. Latency: how much time passes bt prompt and behavior. Locus: where behavior occurs and who was present. Anecdotal report: written description of events that happen during specific time/instructional period.
