Peer learning: the acquisition of knowledge and skill through active helping and supporting among status equals or matched companions (topping, 2005) Influential factors: modeling the correct behavior, a high status, perceived competent model is more beneficial, observing a model that is similar self is more helpful than dissimilar, live and videotaped are = benefit. Novice learners need to be guided to the relevant aspects of the performance to observe. Advanced and intermediate learners gain more from video self-observation.
