Procedure: everyone watched a "volley basics video" then . Learning model group: practised 50 volleys, feedback from instructor. Observer group with verbal f/b: watched g1 video, then 50 trials practice with feedback. Observer group without verbal f/b: watched g1 video then 50 trials practice. Results: both groups who had observed other beginners practice were better at post-test of their volley than the control group. Self-modelling: concept 8: self modeling is the ultimate (cid:494)like me(cid:495), and should contain no bad trials. Modelling & observational learning: lecture 11: you need to reflect & have cognitive involvement to learn well (think, reflect, retain in declarative memory, then reproduce behaviour, need motivation to continue doing it!
