Meant there were different types of property. Despite poverty reduction, there is growing inequality. Much greater emphasis on stability and unity. Meritocratic elite prescreening (need college degree for good govt job) Political conflict, disagreement deemed illegitimate, threatening, hence veiled. Initial focus on agriculture & industry shifts to focus on finance & regulation. Shift from dual-track strategy to market unification. Shift from decentralization and local initiative to recentralization under ccp leadership.
