MGT 500 Lecture Notes - Lecture 76: Sensitivity Training, Appreciative Inquiry, Organization Development
Document Summary
This is a change process based on a systematic fata collection and selection of an action of change based off of indications from analyzed data. It gives value to organizations by giving scientific methodology for managing planned change. The change agent starts by getting information about the problems, issues, concerns, and needed changed from organizational members. The change agent will synthesize information into primary concerns, areas that are problematic, and possible actions that can be taken. This requires people that participate in a change program to assist in identifying the problem and deciding on a solution. Next is the feedback stage which needs employees to share what is found from the other steps. The change agent and employees create action plans to bring about change that is needed by the organization. The action part of the process sets the research in motion. Employees and the change agent carry out certain actions they identified necessary to correcting the problem.
