Document Summary
If the question of metaphysics is claiming knowledge then you have to have epistemology. The eye is used as an example and it corresponds to the particulars and the mind corresponds to the mind which allows to grasp universal concepts that are beyond vision. There has to be a third term that allows the eyes to grasp things (light)- metaphor for science. The source of light is the sun. Science is the idea of the good. Knowledge only comes in the intelligible realm and all you have in the sensible realm is opinion.
