However, five years after deciding to expand and produce plastic parts, the firm started to face serious challenges because of the changing business environment. During the same period, the company faced other issues that resulted in the rising of customer complaints returned orders (krajewski, ritzman, & malhotra, 2013. Moreover, bottleneck problem started to occur during the production process. The bottlenecks, which were moving from operation to another, could not be predictable when or where they would occur. To solve this problem, you may consider following the new process as illustrated in figure 3 in. Appendix b. the process is about restructuring the plant in order to cope with changes in the sales mix. The process will also play an important role in increasing production capacity. Another alternative would be to hire consultants in production.
