The basic unit of society is family or as sociologists call it extended family. The world is divided into us and them. You have an obligation to you and solidarity to your family. The well-being of a family depends upon the honour and respect to demands. You have many obligations to produce sons. Arranged marriage is the best as it strengthens the family. Old people are wise as they seen it all. Romance is viewed as the illness it will pass. Major threat to the family it must be constrained. Bride"s family pays a dowry, the higher the dowry the more prestige to the groom"s family. The higher the dowry the more prestige to the bride"s family. The family is the welfare state, there is no outsiders (if you have problems are dealt internally in families because it puts the families prestige at risk) Crime is viewed as a private affair.
