Answer: the sarakatsan family is a corporate group. The solidarity in the corporate family is symbolized in the idea of kinship. Sexual division of labor: the responsibility of different tasks between males and females. They are directed towards certain tasks and/or explicitly proscribes from performing others. This does not provoke criticism expect where the reversal of roles becomes established feature of families working arrangements. (page 111). Examples: women never milk sheep & men will lift heavy objects to secure them to mule. Women are shameful, fearful, have greater depths of love; they are sensitive to shame and patience. When the family is threatened with violence and outrage, even women will find a pride and courage heroic qualities and for this they will be honored. Men must be the main source of income in the family.
