Introspection = methodology of the mind = look within ourselves to see the self. We should know ourselves better than anything else. Our clothing is an expression of ourselves. If we reflect a different image we become different on the inside. If you lost your legs in a car accident, you"re not the same: both physically and mentally/emotionally. If you"re an athlete and become disabled, you don"t come to think of yourself as an athlete anymore. If you can"t imagine being a different creature (dog, bug, different person), then your physical body is an essential part of who you are: our body matters in terms of who we are. We act differently with different people depending on their roles: we have different social selves. An automatic process; we do not try to be different for each person, we just are. We like to keep different aspects/people in our lives separated.
