Appreciating the tenacity and variety of life on earth coupled with the commonality of organic molecules suggests life can form elsewhere. All sciences contribute to the search for life beyond earth: physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, astronomy, etc. , all give insight into the search for life. & the four elements (that weren"t necessarily made up of atoms) were only for earth and the heaven were made of the fifth element, aether/quintessence: the key scientific results from copernicus, brahe, kepler, galileo, newton (including equations) Brahe: made the most accurate naked eye measurment of planetary positions, he built large naked eye observatories and used them to measure planet positions to within one minute of arch (1/60 of 1 degree) Galileo: three key objections rooted in the aristotelian view were the following, earth could not be moving because objects in air would be left behind, galileo"s experiments showed that objects in air would stay with a moving earth.
