Google: the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, especially in industry. Technology as physical objects: tools, machines, instruments, weapons, appliances. Material goods ranging from weapons to computers to electronics. B. tech as knowledge: know- how behind an invention. C. tech as activity: skills, methods, procedures. D. tech as process: reason behind tech development (why are technologies created in the first place?) E. tech as socio- technical system: interaction b/w humans and objects (tech is created for a lot of different reasons, but used in a completely different way by people. Those inventors/creators have a vision but people like us take it and redefine it. ) The idea of how tech can influence society = tech and society.
