After a seven year relationship and many attempts to help robert recover, sarah was unable to continue the marriage any further. At a certain point, his drug and alcohol consumption was occurring on a daily basis, as he would be using after work, on the weekends, and would arrive hungover to the movie set. June 1996, the actor was apprehended by los angeles police on sunset boulevard.
