Resource dependence- reliance of a firm on external inputs such as capital, energy, labor, and materials. Withholding strategies- an approach where the stakeholder discontinues providing a resource to an organization with the intention of changing a certain behavior. Usage strategies- an approach in which the stakeholder continues to supply a resource but specifies how it will be used. Influence pathway- occurs where withholding and usage strategies could be performed by an ally of the stakeholder with whom the organization has a resource dependence. Social capital- a(cid:374)y aspect of a corporatio(cid:374) s orga(cid:374)izatio(cid:374)al arra(cid:374)ge(cid:373)e(cid:374)ts that creates value a(cid:374)d facilitates the actions of stakeholders within and external to the corporation.
