Rate of in ation is determined by other things. So now we have another receptor that adds to how our lung detects changes in the system that cause responses in ventilation: so we have arterial o2, co2, and h+. The e erent pathway then sends out the signal to the e ectors, which for the respiratory system are always the diaphragm and the lungs: the output for ventilation always counteracts the stimulus to get you back in balance. At the same time motor cortex tells respiratory centre to get going and bring in more air. 2) in the muscles, muscle spindles sense changes in length. So when the muscles start contracting, you get inputs from the spindles telling the respiratory centre to start breathing more. 3) your joints are moving, and those joint sensors sense changes in the joint angles.
