Oppression: prejudice and system of advantage based on seven traits: sex, race/ethnicity, age, ability, religion, class, and age, oppression kept in place by ideology and violence. Police are often used to protecting those who are privileged, instead of everyone. Goal is to allow everyone to have an opportunity to be successful. Role models provide a path for young individuals to follow and understand their sense of where they belong. Silence is the number one factor that prevents change from occurring.
