We better understand where we are in our lives in time with interactions with others like students interact one way with each other and different with older people. The introduction of pension, old age security payments are milestones in how canadian government thinks of how it is to be adult in terms of work and money. Came from mobilization of groups like educational or religious (unions for example) to put pressure on government. Child labor laws are pivotal social policies, government put them due to pressure from the groups.
