Insiders- many of you might be religious yourself. If you do happen to be a religious person. You are in an insider if you practice your religion. Outsider is when we study law at the university. The idea is not being judgmental about other religions. Mary pat fisher and robin rinehart, living religions (tenth edition) John locke thought our thinking comes from experience and that our mind are a blank slate meaning we have no innate ideas. Any scientific claims has to be empirically identified. 19th century thinkers that were associate with existentialism. Anxiety is about the nature of your being. Existentialist come into play when all gods say they are dead. Utiliarism- whatever will lead to greatest amount of happiness. Enlightenment- human kinds emergence from self- imposed immaturity (inability to think for yourself). What was considered sacred before is now considered as profane. There is strict separation between church and state.
