Odysseus is recognized: odysseus sees his dog while he is still playing the part of the beggar, the dog recognized him but he does not have enough strength or get up, the dog then dies. The dog waited for 20 years to see odysseus and when he nally sees odysseus, he feels completed and lets himself die. Penelope and the suitors: penelope shames the suitors, saying that they are doing things wrong when courting a girl. Odysseus and the maids: odysseus tells the maids to go with penelope and so on. He is a beggar and tells the maids to do what he wants: they laugh at him when he does this.
