Telemachos by his side: athena has been supporting both odysseus and telemachos throughout the book. 283: odysseus has some special connection to the gods and goddesses that. 91-95: penelope rebukes her maid who tries to make odysseus go away. Compare this to the way how other maids and suitors treat odysseus.
