Psychological constructs in psychology construct is used as a noun, referring to a thing that has been made (concept or idea) as opposed to the process of building something (verb) Why we have constructs is to build a system to understand (intelligent quotient) Also a construct can be viewed as an object that can be viewed in many different angles.
