Union shops a provision of the collective agreement that requires employees to join the union as a condition of their employment. 2: formation of an in-house organizing committee. Initial organizational meeting: everyone must sign an authorization card indicating their willingness to be represented by a union in collective bargaining with their employer, application to a labour relations board. 5: election of a bargaining committee and contract negotiations.
