Employment- is a form of work in which a person (an employee) is dependent on and mostly subservient to an employer. Employment contract- sets out specific rules, obligations, and rights applicable to the employer and employee and is usually enforceable in a court of law, just like other contracts are. Employees: sell their labour in exchange for compensation, usually in the form of wages and perhaps benefits of some sort. Employee- a person hired by an employer to perform work according to the terms of an employment contract. Independent contractors- independent contractors or the self-employed provide labour services in exchange for compensation. They run their own businesses rather than serving as an employee for another organization or person. Partners- individuals who share part ownership in a business. There can be two or more partners in a partnership. Temporary placement organization- a business that helps match workers looking for jobs with businesses that require temporary help.
