Technology trends: moore"s law: predicted that the transistor density of semiconductor chips would double roughly every 18 months, microprocessors have become smaller, denser, and more powerful. People-to-computer raio over time: today, there are muliple cpus per person. Power density: potenial power density reaching amazing levels, on the lip side, batery life is very important.
