Shame is a master emotion negative emotion to have in society: people are always shamed throughout their lives. Threatens social bans that we have with others (relationship) Shame is the fear of being judged: what others think about is, negative factor of shame. Loss of status, self-awareness family and friends may judge: we know that others will judge us. Shame is tied to moral failure: judging others base don their social life, shame leads to criminal behaviour. Shame brings self-doubt: very stressful, leading to acting out the way society views them.
