Because of this they"re sent into exile. They leave mycenae and go to thebes: in thebes: amphitryon v pterelaus (comaetho) Golden lock of hair from poseidon which makes him invincible. Common theme of the princess of an invaded land falling in love with the hero. Comaetho cuts the golden lock from her father"s hair and kills him. Amphitryon later kills the princess for betraying her father. Common theme of girl hoping to acquire a husband will die: victorious, but confusing return. Zeus slept with her disguised as amphitryon. Tireseas, a seer, says that zeus was the first love.
