Unstable, disruptive, and potential threat to familial stability = reason that the idea of romantic love was not a sound reason for people to get married. Through socialization, individuals learn what to expect as they move toward more personal aspects of the family (how to love, what it means to love, dating, etc: these ideas do not form naturally, they"re learned over time. Some assumptions about love are reinforced by pop culture + mass media. However, the concepts and rules around love, dating, marriage, having children, etc. , means something different to everyone depending on ones age, culture, personal experiences, etc.
