Sociology of family worldview, moral values, and lifestyles. We tend to assume that other families are like our own, and that other share our family is based on our own ideologies, beliefs, and personal experiences of emotional attachment. The concept of family is quite subjective and situational, so we must be mindful of. Only focusing on our own experiences/beliefs is not a good basis for sociological. Families are the settings to which most people spend majority of their lives: but each experience is different based on factors such as culture, politics, environment, etc. The concept of family is not just based on beliefs/ideology of emotional attachment: family also has a material basis as families are places to which production, Many scholars argue that the maintenance of family is critical for societal survival. It is important to understand why and how family acts as societal glue , and how it organizes people"s lives.
