Social advertising is trying to get people to believe a certain way, to support certain causes, to reinforce certain behaviors, to change certain behavior. > to abolish debtor prisons (prison that people go to when they"re in debt) > abolition (get rid of slavery), temperance (put a stop to excessive drinking), prohibition (outlaw alcohol) and suffragette (grant women rights for voting) > regulate quality of foods and drugs (wanted some legislation) > environment (safer water, clean air, energy conservation, preserving national parks and forests, cleaning up the ocean, protecting the whales, etc) > education (literacy, staying in school, bullying, value of education, etc) > economy (revitalizing cities, boosting economy, improving job skills and training, attracting investors, etc) > other issues (family violence, human rights, racism, gender equality, sexual harassment)
