Document Summary

If you take down plane then turn on all engines, it wouldn"t move. Whats the difference b/w plane and rocket. For planes, reduce amount of thrust coming from engines and make huge wings to lift the mechanism off the ground. High flow velocity creates low pressure zone. Low flow velocity creates high pressure zone. Has to be a difference in flow b/w over the air foil and underneath for the lift to be maintained. Difference in fluid velocity with respect to each other that creates these high and low pressures. By having belly on top of air foil, creates larger distance that fluid has to cover. Will have to go faster in order to achieve that- so over the wing is high velocity, low pressure. Under the wing is low flow velocity to high pressure. Go from high to low pressure to create lift. Left force (fl) is always perpendicular to the direction of oncoming air flow.
