Chemical synapse means ap is coming down the nerve, and crosses from the nerve tissue into the skeletal muscle by a sequence of chemical events: others in the heart called gap junctions. These are breaks within the myositis, that occur at regular intervals, so as the dp wave comes from the sa-node moves through the heart tissues, it will hop across these gaps.
