Gross anatomy studying organs we can see with the naked eye. 4 tissues that make up the human body. 200 different types of cells (genetic makeup is simple) Regional anatomy: this term comes from dissection, using each region/ certain area of the body and identifying all of the structures that compose that particular area. Dissection is removing areas of the structures and identifying each part. (the use of the cadaver causes mistakes because you cannot go back once you cut open a structure). Systemic approach: this is where you study the different individual systems of the body (eg. skeletal system, then cardiovascular system and so forth) there are 11 systems in the body, we will study 5/11 systems in this class. Anatomical nomenclature create an international language when describing the human body.
