Self ef cacy= the expectancy concerned with an individuals beliefs in his/her ability to perform a behaviour required to produce an outcome. People"s beliefs about their capabilities to exercise control over events that effect their lives. People"s beliefs in their capabilities to mobilize motivation, cognitive resources and courses of action needed to exercise control over task demands. Concerned with the con dence the person has with the skills that they do have (situation speci c self-con dence) Self ef cacy: the strength of a person"s belief that he/she has the resources or capabilities to achieve a certain outcome. Collective ef cacy: a sense of collectiveness shared among people when allocating, coordinating and integrating their resources in a successful intense response to speci c situational demands. Selection of behaviour (ie. team adopts man-to-man instead of zone) Intensity of behaviour (ie. team works harder on defence) Persistence in behaviour (ie. team renews effort against a perceived weak opponent)
