Disease marked by a buildup of abnormal tau protein and have symptoms of memory loss, confusion, impaired judgment, aggression, depression, anxiety. Nfl in 2015 settled lawsuit to hide this info. Self-efficacy theory: expectancy concerned with individuals beliefs in their ability to perform a behaviour required to produce an outcome - bandura 1977. Revised: this and beliefs in their capabilities to mobilize the motivation, cognitive resources and courses of action needed to exercise control over task demands. Confidence individual has in what they do with the skills they possess (situation specific self- confidence) Performance experience is important (how have u done in the past?) Vicarious experience (scared of heights, let others go fist) Self efficacy: strength of individuals belief that they have the resources and capabilities to achieve a given outcome.
