The boundaries of regions are related to faultlines. They are differences between two different areas whether it be geographical, cultural, et(cid:272) . Provincially defined region: choosing an area of provinces (eg. atlantic canada) and describing the area, analyzing the economy, studying the demographics, understanding the physical geography of the area. Categorization of land surface: classify the land into chunks that have similar characteristics. Uniform region: it is named after a characteristic where all locations in the region have similarities in that particular characteristic (ex. Vegetation region = grassland, desert, ice, (cid:373)ou(cid:374)tai(cid:374), et(cid:272) )
