The book the sixth extinction is the massive dying off an animals and planet life that is happening today. Up to 50% of all living species are in danger of disappearing by the end of the century, but unlike previous extinctions, that"s the direct cause this time is human driven climate change. The losses are occurring all over in the south pacific and in the north. Atlantic and the arctic and the sahel in lakes and on islands on mountaintops and in valleys. Humans actions are moving so many species around the world and we are reverse engineering the planet bringing in effect bringing all the continents back together. Thus, all of these things have on the unfortunate side effect of causing extinction. Ocean acidification and global warming is equally evil twin, because we are terrestrial organisms. Some tropical species has only a narrow climatic range, and the impact of climate change on these species is huge.
