The theogony tells us about the creation and evolution of the universe. It is believed that this went on during the archaic period. Theogony stands for the birth of the gods- genesis. Cosmogony is about the birth of the universe and world order. Series of generation in which one generation inherits the rule of the world from the previous generation. The bottom of the world was known as the underworld, that includes hades and all the souls of the dead. The under under world was where the turans were located. This was originally sung by one performer who was self-proclaimed with lyre. Usually has an invocation of a muse most likely gods, these divine figures were meant to inspire the bard.
