Document Summary

Phenotypic and genetic response ( grown under uniform condition) crossing earliest to latest: heritable bases. Over 7 years pop was adapting to condition by flowering earlier. Not all plants are going to response the same way ex: tree have long life cycle impossible to response knowing the repeadity of change annual plant produce different set of seeds every year how adaptation can evolve. Many of our forest+ organism in that forest won"t be able to adapt each time to the rapidity: biodiversity: according to the media and magazines, it is equivalent to species diversity. In reality, genetic diversity between population is crucial if the populations are going to respond to environmental changes. If we lose our species; we lose biodiversity. It reminds us of fishers theory of natural selection: there must be variability in population for the population to respond to selection.
