A guy is celebrating a friends wedding at a beach. You can visualize them and see pictures in their mind vividly. Some people cant, and some people who are non-imagers (cant see pictures in their head) but they don"t introspect and see images. It could be that they describe them differently so they cant see it. A variety of day-to-day problems seem to require the use of visual imagery. The theory that there are two ways of representing events, verbal and non-verbal to represent the events. Logogens: the units containing the information underlying our use of a word; the components of the verbal system. (when it is verbal, it is component of the logogens) Imagens: the units containing information that generate mental images; the components of the non-verbal system. When you encode this information and relate verbal and non-verbal, but encoded differently. It is processed differently and imagens on the right, and logogens on the left.
