World populaion increased drasically from the 1800"s on- industrial revoluion. Pre 1800"s- humans unable to produce on large scale, results in low producion. Sanitary revoluion- more people survive , contributes to world populaion. Transportaion allows for expansion of ciies, allows coverage of wide distances. World populaion experienced doubling in the past, not expected to double again. Populaion expected to decrease ater 2100, as growth rate slows. 2050- 60-75% of the world will be urbanized.
