Weather: day to day changes in climate variables (short term phenomenon). We are talking about climate variables most important to us. State if the atmosphere at a given time and place with respect to variables such as temperature, wind velocity and barometric pressure. Climate: changes in weather over long periods of time in a specific region. The weather in some location averaged over some long period f time. (take into account drastic changes and extremes). [you have to record max and min temperature in a specific area over a specified period of time, mean t, snow, rain, precp. , extreme tmax, extreme tmin, mean snow depth, extreme snow depth. ] So you report mean condition as well as extreme condition. This year in january we have a much warmer weather with rain, little snow, fog, etc. Metereology: the science dealing with phenomenon of the atmosphere specifically weather processing and weather forecasting. Climatology: the science of climates, dealing with the same phenomenon.
