When working with a crime scene it"s being changed and can be destructive. Generate leads to recover more information, evidence or other multiple crime scenes. Understanding the evidence itself: putting it into context, finding animal bones in woods vs human bones in woods are different . Understanding behaviour: blood splatter, position of the victim/suspect, fingerprints, footprints, linking where suspects have been or haven"t been in a crime scene.
