When we examine myths we must ask ourselves the five w"s. Western world lives in a monotheistic belief of god, however in greek myth there are several gods or goddesses for various facts of life. Greek gods and goddesses are relatable similar but very different than humans. 1st five olympians are the children of cronus and rhea: hera, poseidon, demeter, hestia, zeus (+hades) From the gentials of uranus (or child of zeus + dione?: aphordite. Other 6 olympians are children of zeus (+ hera?) All, except hades, live on mount olympus therefore became the abode of the gods: hades isn"t technically considered an olympian because he does not live in olympus he lives in the underworld. Zeus: clash of gods greek mythology creation history. However is jealous that he goes about sleeping with everyone. One day hera has enough, she does no like to be humiliated infront of the other gods.
