Thoracic cage (t): sternum (st), & ribs (r) Rib cage is one of main protectors. Vertebrosternal ribs, 1-7 (connect to sternum with individual cartilage); Vertebrochondral ribs, 8-10 (connect to sternum via shared cartilage); and, vertebral ribs, 11-12 (no sternum connection) Sternum: manubrium (m) = very top clavicle. Vertebral column: vertebrae (v), sacrum (sa), coccyx (c) Cervical vertebrae (c) c1-atlas; c2-axis move in different motions and directions. Have bit of more free movement - other vertebrae are more restricted. Thoracic curve (t) & lumbar curve (l) Lacrimal (l) = bone by tear duct and top of bone. Palatine (p) = right and left bones that make up roof of mouth. Maxilla (m) = carries upper row of teeth (single bone - no right vs left) Inferior nasal concha (i) = internal bone inside nasal cavity.
