Document Summary

1- amino acids codon if altered would most likely lead to premature termination would be the one that has a point mutation . Silent mutation changes one codon for an amino acid sequence. The stop codons are also called ocher (uaa), amber (uag) and opal (uga). These names are used for mutations that cause a change in the dna sequence such that a stop codon is present in the mrna where normally there would be an amino acid. In translation, rna information is converted into protein information, thus amino acids codon that will terminate are uaa uag and uga. 2- one of the trna genes for tyrosine have a mutation in its anticodon sequence the next anticodon is 5" gua which is complementary to the codon 5" uac which codes for tyrosine. The tyrosine is added to the carboxy-terminal (c-terminal) end of the growing polypeptide chain. The protein will be 9 amino acids long when completed.
