Document Summary

Biological processes: transfer between different energy forms (in animals, most often chemical to kinetic energy. Potential energy: energy to be used up, trapped in a system. Energy that can"t be processed is eliminated by feces or urine. I. e. in the bird the ankle is a fulcrum and the insertion is on both sides. That is also the load: most common lever system in humans, class 1: force and load on the opposite side of fulcrum, how much your body moves with the force input. Smooth: control of the walls of hollow organs and passages/ vessels (involuntary); no striations like in skeletal muscle: something the body does automatically to maintain optimal function (i. e. heat) Cardiac: in the heart for pumping blood throughout the body and maintaining blood pressure. Swimming: penguins use wing propulsion, some birds use foot propulsion diving. Jet propulsion (fish) uses the power of the water coming out to move.
