Built roads, beaches, parks changed shorelines and transformed neighbourhoods. Made sure bridges of parkways to parks and beaches were super low so trucks couldn"t get there, they have no business there. In the past buses were the only opion available to those who couldn"t aford a car wasn"t see as the eco-friendly method of transport it is today. Mainly african americans took bus, so only whites went to the beach. Parks and bridges were designed in such a way to facilitate the transportaion of a certain group, but to inhibit the transport of others. Engineering relaionships between people that soon just became a part of the landscape. Material objects can represent social norms and values. Fossil fuels are everywhere and in everything we do.
