Stress: the process by which we perceive and respond to certain events that we appraise as threatening or challenging. Feeling of anxiety, tension, worry or apprehension and physical sensations. Distress bad stress anxiety, fear, can harm you, longer term. Eustress good stress excitement, challenge or opportunity , shorter term, less consequence (nothing serious), lack of control is transferred into willingly. There"s always a physiological responds when stress i applied. Stressors stress responds (exams, social situation, fire in your home. ) Physiological reaction stress reaction or the tress response. Any event capable of producing a stress response: catastrophes. Hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, fires, war , famine: significant life changes. Leaving home, death of a loved one, loss of job, divorce: daily hassles. Traffic, aggravating room mates, long lines, money, kids. Common physiological response to a perceived threat or challenge.
