Scriptural basis: old testament - ten commandments ( exodus , new testament - golden rule ( luke ) Natural law: according to st. thomas, god made the world with his perfection, our god-given intellect, could discover the creator"s behavioural imperatives or moral law. Meant that knowledge of god"s will was open to all, non-believer as well as believer, through the nature of the human mind and heart, independently of divine revelation: aquinas adapted natural law from ancient greek view.
