Reference: it is the class of things to which the word refers too the concept points, sometimes known as the reference class. It is things that belong to this specific class . Ex: capybaras (past, present and future) and the word referent picks individuals that belong to the class such as the professor"s capybara (the referent) as it is in an individual that belongs to that class. Types of definitions: reportive most basic in nature.
